Tuition and Fees

All-Inclusive Tuition for Participants Includes:

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner in our dining room every day, except for dinner on the second Sunday: Meals include the annual Medomak Lobster Feast at the seacoast (other menu choices are available).
  • Group lodging in cabins:  Cabins have electric outlets and lights, desks, and bathrooms with showers. A limited number of private cabins are available to request for an additional fee. 
  • Conducting instruction during sessions with resident string quintet and piano.
  • Conducting a full, professional orchestra in rehearsals and a public concert.
  • Group score-study sessions and a private, individual coaching.
  • Small-group aural skills sessions and a private, individual coaching.
  • Small-group Alexander Technique/movement sessions, and individual coaching.
  • Group technique work and private, individual coaching.
  • Additional presentations, discussions and lectures.
  • Digital video is provided at every podium session, all rehearsals and the final concert.
  • Library of books on music and musicians.
  • Use of electric keyboards and piano.
  • Wireless Internet access.
  • Waterfront with swimming, canoes and kayaks.
  • Recreation room with Ping-Pong tables.

Tuition for Auditors includes all of the above except for on-podium conducting work and all individual coaching.

Applications submitted after April 1 will be considered if there are any openings still available. Please contact us.

Applicants receiving an invitation are asked to accept or decline within five days. The first payment reserves a position. An invitee’s position may be offered to others if the first payment is received after the deadline.

Participants withdrawing by May 15, 2024 may receive a 100% refund at the sole discretion of the Conductors Retreat at Medomak. Participants who withdraw following May 15 may receive up to a 50% refund at the sole discretion of the Conductors Retreat at Medomak.  Instances of hardship and extreme circumstances may be considered for exceptions at the sole discretion of Conductors Retreat at Medomak.
