As we at the Conductors Retreat prepare for our 25th summer, we have reaffirmed our commitment to be a force for diversity, equity, and inclusion among conductors and their communities. We are establishing the William Grant Still Initiative for Black Conductors to engage and support prospective and potential Black conductors, institute diversity training in our annual retreat, and motivate all participating conductors to incorporate anti-racist action into the mission and strategies of their organizations.
